WLAN & Password Protected Proxy Servers [ Edited ] by santaisdead
原文地址
Hi,
I think below is a generic S60 series problem which has no solution provided by Nokia.
Problem occurs when we have a wireless connection with a password protected proxy server.
On the phone, which is E51 in this case, in the advanced settings form of selected wireless connection has no field to enter a username and password for the proxy server. A solution to this could be like that: Enter the expression below to "Proxy Server Address" field:
"login name":"password"@"proxyserver IP" or
http://"login name":"password"@"proxyserver IP" or
http://"domain name"\"login name":"password"@"proxyserver IP"
This way it appears like I'm connected to the proxy, but if I try to surf the net with a browser, again it asks for the username and password. If I start any other application requiring connection to internet it shortly fails.
Mail for Exchange also has no use if you have a proxy server which neeeds authentication.
Thanks for your help in advance.
